Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. Its cookies are set only if you accept them. Declining has no effect on the site.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets two first party cookies, _ga and one beginning _ga_, which tell visits apart. They expire after two years unless you clear them. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent.

Analytics data is kept for two months. Google Signals is off.

Introduction form

The form collects your name, organisation, who introduced you and the matter, so the request can be considered. Submissions are sent to a private inbox and kept in a private spreadsheet, both held with Google. They are kept for 12 months and then deleted. Nothing you submit is sent to Google Analytics.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or erase your data, or object to its use, under UK and EU GDPR. Write to michael.s.u.hudson@gmail.com and say what you are asking for. You will receive a reply within one month. You may also complain to a data protection authority; in Sweden this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

AI tool governance

AI tools are used for research, drafting and operations. AI never handles passwords, keys or secrets. No client personal data is kept in logs. Automations that read client mailboxes are read only. Every counterparty is screened against sanctions lists before engagement.
